The calendar in the “Plan” tab

The “Plan” tab is your editorial calendar. Here you see what appears on Instagram when, what's already live and where something went wrong. You can also schedule your own photos and videos.

The Pocket Creator app is currently available in German only. Buttons and labels appear here exactly as in the app, in German, with an English translation in brackets.

  1. The month at a glanceThe calendar shows all scheduled, published and failed posts, with the count at the top.
  2. Tap a dayBelow it, that day's posts appear with time, format and status.
  3. Month or weekSwitch with Monat (month) and Woche (week), page with ‹ ›.
  4. Plan your own postTap plus, choose a photo or video, enter time, caption and hashtags.
  5. ScheduleTap Einplanen (Schedule). The post appears in the calendar.

What the calendar shows

At the top you see the month and a count, for example “Oktober 2026 · 3 Posts geplant” (3 posts scheduled). The calendar only shows posts that are scheduled, published or failed. Finished but unscheduled images are in the gallery.

Month view

Each day shows a small preview of its first post, outlined in the colour of its status. If there are several, a number appears. The legend explains: green Gepostet (posted), blue Geplant (scheduled). Red marks an error.

Tap a day and the list appears below, for example “6. Oktober – 2 Inhalte” (2 items), with caption, time and format (Bildpost, Carousel, Reel).

Week view

A Monday-to-Sunday strip with dots for busy days. Below it, the selected day (today to start with) with time, title, format and status: Gepostet, Geplant or Fehler (error).

Tap an entry. In the preview you can:

Planning your own post

You can also schedule content you didn't create with Pocket Creator, such as a photo from your phone or a video.

  1. Pick the day in the calendar and tap + at the top. On an empty day you can also use Eigenen Beitrag planen (Plan your own post).
  2. Bild oder Video: Galerie (library) accepts photos and videos, Kamera takes a photo. With a video you'll see “Video ausgewählt” (video selected).
  3. Datum (date) is the selected day. Uhrzeit (time) in HH:MM, preset to 18:00.
  4. Enter Caption and Hashtags.
  5. Tap Einplanen.

Videos are published on Instagram as reels. Files can be up to 20 MB.

Don't forget the caption: without one, the post can't be saved (“Beitrag konnte nicht gespeichert werden.”). And watch the time: if it's in the past, the post is published within a few minutes.

On the free plan

On the free plan the Plan tab is dimmed and shows “Content-Planung freischalten” (Unlock content planning) with Auf Pro upgraden. The calendar, scheduling and automatic posting come with Pro.

Frequently asked questions

My finished image isn't in the calendar.

The calendar only shows scheduled posts. Open the image in the gallery and tap Tag zum Posten auswählen (Pick a day to post).

A post shows “Fehler”.

Instagram rejected it. Check the connection under Einstellungen → Neu verbinden and tap Jetzt auf Instagram posten in the post. More in Troubleshooting.

“Medium konnte nicht hochgeladen werden.” (Media couldn't be uploaded.)

The file is too large (over 20 MB) or the connection dropped. Shorten the video or try on Wi-Fi.
